NIFT Kolkata Admission 2025 is an entrance-based process for undergraduate and postgraduate programs in design, fashion technology, and management. The admission begins with registration for the NIFT entrance exam. Candidates who score valid marks are then invited for the online choice filling and seat allotment rounds. NIFT Kolkata Admission Dates 2025

For admission to UG courses at NIFT Kolkata, candidates need to register for the NIFT exam. Candidates obtaining a valid CMR are required to register for the e-counseling and seat allotment process, which is currently ongoing. The first round of seat allotment is scheduled for 7 July 2025, with subsequent rounds on 18 July and 28 July, and a SPOT round on 8 August 2025.

Candidates must abide by the following eligibility criteria for admission to UG courses at NIFT Kolkata in 2025. 

• Candidates must not be older than 24 years as of August 1, 2025; a relaxation of 5 years is provided for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
• For BDes, applicants must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board, or meet equivalent qualifications as specified by NIFT.
• For BFTech, candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognized board.
• Admission is based on the NIFT Entrance Exam, which includes GAT and CAT for BDes (plus a Situation Test), and only GAT for BFTech, followed by centralized counselling.
