Kerala NEET Counselling 2025 Out Soon, Dates, Registration, Eligibility

Kerala NEET Counselling 2025 is a significant opportunity for students wishing to secure a seat in MBBS and BDS programs offered by institutions of higher education in the state. This process to organize admissions is conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala. Students who have qualified for NEET 2025 will be eligible to participate in counselling. The counselling process consists of online registration, uploading NEET scores, verifying documents, and then the issuance of allotments to the students based on their chosen order of priority and designated rank.

The uploading window of the NEET scores was opened in July 2025 to all the applicants who have enrolled in Kerala NEET Counselling. The candidates were supposed to enter the KEAM 2025 portal between July 16 and July 21, 2025, and they were supposed to log in and post their scores. The candidates who did not upload the NEET scores within the stipulated time were not listed under the merit list. Additionally, the correction window for NRI students was till July 21, 2025.

Kerala NEET Counselling 2025 Overview

Kerala NEET 2025 counselling is for students who qualify in NEET eligible to join medical or dental colleges in Kerala. The counselling is conducted online by the state authority, CEE Kerala. The counselling has both government seats and some private college seats.

In 2025, the NEET exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on May 04, and the result will be released on June 14. Once the results are out, the counselling process begins. To participate in the counselling process, students have to register through the CEE Kerala official website.

Kerala NEET Counselling 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The following list includes the eligibility requirements for Kerala NEET counselling 2025. Candidates must fulfill the requisite eligibility norms to register for counselling rounds :

1. The candidate must be an Indian national. PIO/OCI applicants may also apply for Kerala NEET 2025 counselling but must be qualified to claim reservations.
2. Keralite : This category would cover all applicants born and raised in Kerala. Children of AIS officers stationed in Kerala were considered for this category. However, they were not qualified to apply for any reservations.
3. Category I Non-Keralite (NK I): Candidates who fall into this group are still eligible to apply for Kerala NEET counselling in 2025, however, they are not qualified to use any reservations. Any of the following requirements must be met by a candidate to come under this category:
4. An applicant who completed their 12th-grade education at a Kerala school and whose parent(s) works for the Indian government and is currently stationed there
5. A Candidate who has completed class 12 at a school in Kerala and whose parent(s) has/have served in Kerala for at least two years as a government employee.
6. A Potential applicant who has lived in Kerala for five years (during their time in school).
7. A Candidate who has completed Classes 8 through 12 in a Keralan institution.

Kerala MBBS Counselling Process

The Kerala NEET counselling 2025 occurs in multiple steps. Each step is online, and the students have to follow each step perfectly:

• Online Registration: Students must visit the official website of CEE Kerala. Students will register themselves by filling in the NEET details and their personal information (name, date of birth, NEET roll number, and marks).

• Score Uploading of NEET: The time frame during which the score could be uploaded was July 16 to July 21 2025. Students were forced to log in and upload Ntheir EET 2025 scorecard. Unless you have filled out your score, you will not be part of the ranking list.

• Merit List: CEE Kerala also draws a merit list depending on the NEET scores given. In this list, the position of the ranks of each student is depicted in Kerala. It assists in determining the seat to be occupied by which student.

• Choice Filling: Provided that the merit list is publicized, the students are free to log in to the portal and select the colleges and courses (MBBS/BDS) of their choice. This all depends on what marks and chances you have.

• Seat Allotment: Out of the four rounds, the first round will be allotted by CEE based on NEET score, rank, category, and choices. When you are lucky enough to obtain a seat, you must either accept it or wait until the next shift.

• Seat Confirmation: In case you have no complaints on the given seat, go to the college and submit your documents to finalize the admission process. In case not, then you can take the second round. 

This process goes on till all the seats are filled. Normally, two-three rounds are followed by a mop-up round.

There is a fee for counselling that students have to pay at the time of registration. The amount depends on the category and type of seat:

• General and SEBC category students who apply for government and private medical colleges pay a minor amount as part of the registration fee, while the fees for NRI and management quota seats are always higher.
• The Kerala NEET Counselling Fees is non-refundable. If students do not get a seat or withdraw later, then they will never be refunded. Students should only register for the counselling process if they truly want to participate in counselling.
