
NTA to Lighter NEET 2024 Syllabus: The National Testing Agency (NTA) plans to release a simpler syllabus for NEET 2024 next week. The syllabus will be made 30% lighter, focusing on the most important concepts. This decision to trim the syllabus was made after listening to feedback from students and teachers. The updated syllabus aims to be more straightforward, helping students prepare for the exam.
As per reports, the National Testing Agency is preparing to share a syllabus for NEET UG 2024 next week. The changes are based on advice from the National Medical Commission, considering inputs from various boards that simplified their senior secondary syllabus during the pandemic. NTA Director General Subodh Kumar Singh mentioned, "NTA will share the NEET-UG syllabus next week to assist students in their preparation. The NMC removed several chapters in chemistry, like the State of Matter, Hydrogen, The Solid State, The s-Block Elements, Surface Chemistry, Polymers, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements, Environmental Chemistry, and Chemistry in Everyday Life. In biology, the NMC excluded chapters such as Mineral Nutrition, Strategies for Enhancement in Food Production, Digestion and Absorption, Transport in Plants, Reproduction in Organisms, and Environmental Issues. Also, the NMC added five new sub-topics in physics and biology.
