Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2025 is the process through which eligible candidates are given MBBS and BDS seats within the state based on their NEET 2025 results. The counselling is overseen by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu, and only candidates who qualify for NEET-UG 2025 will be allowed to take part in the counselling process.

Tamil Nadu will offer government and management quota seats for MBBS and BDS admissions through NEET. The counselling will happen in a minimum of two rounds. There are separate allotment processes for candidates who qualified through the Tamil Nadu state quota and those who qualified through the all-India quota (AIQ).
The Directorate of Medical Education shall manage the 85% state quota seats, and the other 15% AIQ seats will be allotted by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee). There may also be consideration for government school students via the 7.5% special reservation quota.

The Tamil Nadu MBBS counselling process follows certain fixed steps to ensure a fair and transparent seat allotment. The whole counselling is conducted in online mode. Students must complete each step correctly for successful admission.
Online Registration: Students register on the Tamil Nadu counselling portal using NEET details and personal information.
Choice Filling and Locking: After registration, candidates choose their preferred colleges and courses.
Document Upload: Candidates upload documents like NEET admit card, scorecard, nativity certificate, and community certificate.
Verification and Allotment: Based on merit and category, allotment is done. Tentative and final allotments are published online.
Reporting: Students report to allotted colleges or facilitation centres with original documents for admission confirmation.
Those who don’t report after allotment may lose their seat. Always keep soft and hard copies of application form and documents.
