The aspirants must fulfill a number of essential criteria in order to be eligible for West Bengal NEET Counselling 2025. All the criteria are skillfully drafted so that only appropriate candidates are selected for admission in medical and dental colleges within the state.
The candidates must be Indian citizens. Besides Indian citizens, candidates who are Non-Resident Indians (NRI), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and foreign nationals also have the eligibility to apply for some of the quotas if there are available seats.

Step 1: Registration & Payment
The applicants need to initially visit the website of the West Bengal Health Department so that the registration process can be initiated. One has to enter the NEET roll number, application ID, and personal details.
The applicants must choose their respective domicile category, i.e., A1, A2, or B. On successful submission of the application form, the registration fee must be paid. The fee structure is as per the applicant's chosen category:
General/OBC: ₹2000
SC/ST: ₹1500

Step 2: Choice Filling & Locking
After completing the registration, the applicants proceed to the choice filling process. The applicants can make multiple entries to improve their chances of getting admission. The candidates need to lock their choices of preference before the cutoff time. If they fail to lock them on their own, the system can automatically lock saved choices. The choices, once locked, cannot be changed.
Step 3: Seat Allotment
The counselling authority allots seats as per NEET scores, reserved status, and candidate choice. A formal announcement specifying seat allotments is made on the website so that the candidates can check their allotment status. The candidates who have been allotted a seat are asked to download the allotment letter and follow the instructions for admission and reporting.
Step 4: Reporting to the Allotted College
After the seat is assigned, the candidates are asked to report to the assigned college on the scheduled date. Punctuality during reporting cannot be overstressed. Delayed reporting can lead to the forfeiture of the seat assigned. During reporting, the candidates will present their documents for verification. Admission is only confirmed upon successful verification and presentation of the necessary certificates.

This stage verifies the candidate's identity and suitability. Original documents and photocopies need to be furnished to the prescribed college. Inability to provide valid documents might result in rejection.
