RRB Group D Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

After the CBT, qualified candidates are called for the PET. The PET is a physical test. It is a qualifying test. It does not add to the final score. A candidate must pass it to move on. The PET has two parts.

RRB Group D Physical Test for Male

The RRB Group D physical test for male candidates includes two mandatory tasks: weight lifting and running. Male candidates must successfully complete both activities within the specified time limits to qualify.

Weight Lifting Test (Male):

  • Weight: 35 kg

  • Distance: 100 meters

  • Time Limit: 2 minutes

  • Condition: Must be completed in one attempt without dropping the weight

Running Test (Male):

  • Distance: 1000 meters

  • Time Limit: 4 minutes 15 seconds

  • Attempts: Single attempt only

Male candidates failing to meet the above physical standards are disqualified from further stages, irrespective of their CBT score.

RRB Group D Physical Test for Female

The RRB Group D physical test for female candidates is designed to assess strength and stamina with comparatively adjusted benchmarks. Female candidates must qualify in both weight lifting and running tests.

Weight Lifting Test (Female):

  • Weight: 20 kg

  • Distance: 100 meters

  • Time Limit: 2 minutes

  • Condition: Must be completed in one attempt

Running Test (Female):

  • Distance: 1000 meters

  • Time Limit: 5 minutes 40 seconds

  • Attempts: Single attempt only

Female candidates must complete both tasks within the prescribed limits to be considered PET qualified.

RRB Group D Running Time Requirements

The RRB Group D running time is a crucial qualifying parameter in the Physical Efficiency Test. Candidates are given only one chance to complete the running task, making preparation essential.

Category Distance Time Limit
Male 1000 meters 4 min 15 sec
Female 1000 meters 5 min 40 sec

Failure to complete the run within the allotted time results in immediate disqualification from the recruitment process.

Note: Candidates with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) are exempted from PET, but they must clear the medical examination as prescribed by the Railway Recruitment Board.

RRB Group D Document Verification

Candidates who pass both the CBT and PET move to this stage. This is an important step. A candidate's original documents are checked here. All details must match the application form. Any mismatch can lead to a candidate's rejection. A candidate must bring all original papers. A list of required documents is provided by RRB.

DV Full Form in RRB Group D: Document Verification

  • Matriculation Certificate

  • ITI or National Apprenticeship Certificate

  • Caste Certificate for the reserved category

It is important to keep all documents ready. A candidate should not wait until the last minute. Document Verification is an important RRB Group D selection process 2026 stage, which is to confirm all information.

RRB Group D Medical Test & Medical Standards

The medical test is the final stage. It is conducted by railway doctors. It ensures a candidate is medically fit for the job. The test checks a candidate's general health. It also checks vision and hearing. Different jobs have different medical standards. A candidate must meet the required standards mentioned in the RRB Group D Selection Process.

  • Vision Test: It checks distant and near vision. Some jobs have a higher standard.

  • Physical Fitness: It checks for any physical defects. For example, flat feet or knock knees.

  • Overall Health: It checks for any major diseases.
