RRB Group D Selection Process 2025
In order to be selected for the Group D post, candidates must successfully complete all stages of the RRB Group D Selection Process. This process involves three stages as follows:

To qualify for the RRB Group D selection, candidates must pass each of these stages. Here's a breakdown of each stage:
RRB Group D Selection Process- CBT
The initial stage is the Computer-Based Examination. This exam is worth a total of 100 marks and has a duration of 90 minutes. It covers topics such as General Awareness, Reasoning, Mathematics, and General Science. However, candidates with PwD are given 120 minutes to complete the exam. The RRB Group D CBT Exam consists of 100 questions and is worth a total of 100 marks. Each question is worth 1 mark, and ⅓ mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. Check the

RRB Group D Selection Process - PET
The second stage is the Physical Efficiency Examination, which is conducted after the candidates pass the Computer-Based Test. This examination assesses the physical fitness of the shortlisted applicants. Both male and female candidates are required to participate in these exams. RRB Group D Physical Test - Male Candidate’s Criteria

Should be able to lift and carry 35 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down; and Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.

RRB Group D Selection Process - Document Verification
The Document Verification Round is the third stage of the RRB Group D Selection Process. Here are the details of the Document Verification Round for RRB Group D candidates:
Based on candidates' performance in the CBT and subject to their qualification in the PET, candidates will be called for Document Verification (DV) according to their merit and preferences. These additional candidates will only be considered for final appointment if there is a shortfall in the original empanelment or to replace candidates who do not join or in response to other specific requirements.
Candidates who qualify the PET will be called for Document Verification. During this stage, candidates need to produce original documents and certificates for verification. The following documents are typically required:

Matriculation/High School Examination Certificate

ITI/Trade Apprentice Certificate (if applicable)

Caste Certificate (if applicable)

Income Certificate for Waiving Examination Fee

Medical Certificate for PwBD

NOC from serving employees

Service Certificate and No Objection Certificate from the employer (for ex-servicemen)
If two or more candidates secure the same marks, the merit position will be determined based on age, with the older candidate being placed higher. If the age is also the same, the alphabetical order of names (A to Z) will be used to break the tie.
The appointment of selected candidates is contingent on passing the required Medical Fitness Test, which will be conducted by the Railway Administration. Additionally, final verification of educational qualifications, community certificates, and antecedents/character of the candidates is mandatory.
RRB Group D Selection Process - Medical Examination

Please be aware that candidates who are deemed medically unfit for the desired position(s) will not be offered any alternative appointment. Additionally, candidates who choose to apply for positions that have A2 medical standards should take note that these particular roles have strict medical criteria.
