To be eligible for the NIFT College, candidates must have passed class 12th from a recognized institute or a passing grade in the Senior Secondary Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects or a 3 or 4 years diploma recognized by a State Board of Technical Education or AICTE.
How to get into NIFT after the 12th?
To get into NIFT after 12th, students must appear for the NIFT entrance exam. The exam includes a creative ability test (CAT) and a general ability test (GAT). Candidates are required to appear for further rounds of admission, such as a Group Discussion and Personal Interview after clearing the written test.
Is drawing compulsory for NIFT?
Yes, drawing is compulsory for NIFT. along with drawing, candidates have to excel in GAT also.
How many seats are in NIFT?
NIFT 2024 participating institutes will offer a total of 5,289 seats across the All-India, state domicile, and NRI categories. The National Institute of Fashion Technology has a total of 18 participating institutes.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Colleges 2025 continue to be the prestigious institutions for fashion education in India. They offer a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programs in fashion design, technology, management, and communication. NIFT colleges are known for their rigorous academic curriculum, state-of-the-art facilities, and industry connections.
To be eligible for undergraduate programs, candidates need to have completed their class 12th education with the minimum qualifying marks and qualify the NIFT entrance exam.
