JEE Main 2025 April 9 Question Paper: Marking Scheme

The marking scheme for the JEE Main 2025 April 9 exam follows a structured format for both Paper 2A (B.Arch) and Paper 2B (B.Plan), allowing students to understand how marks are distributed across different sections.

JEE Main 2025 April 9 Paper 2A BArch Marking Scheme:

The Mathematics and Aptitude sections carry multiple-choice and numerical value-based questions. Students receive +4 marks for every correct answer, while –1 mark is deducted for each incorrect one. There is no negative marking for unattempted questions. The Drawing section includes 2 questions, each carrying 50 marks, making it subjectively evaluated out of 100 marks.

  • Mathematics : 25 questions × 4 marks = 100 marks

  • Aptitude Test : 50 questions × 4 marks = 200 marks

  • Drawing Test : 2 questions × 50 marks = 100 marks

  • Total : 400 marks

JEE Main 2025 April 9 Paper 2B BPlan Marking Scheme:

The marking pattern is the same for all three sections—Mathematics, Aptitude, and Planning-based questions. Each correct answer gives +4 marks, and each wrong answer results in a –1 mark penalty. Unanswered questions do not affect the score.

  • Mathematics: 25 questions × 4 marks = 100 marks

  • Aptitude Test: 50 questions × 4 marks = 200 marks

  • Planning Questions: 25 questions × 4 marks = 100 marks

  • Total: 400 marks
