It's a basic yet thrilling board game that can be played by 2-4 people using only dice and tokens. The basic goal is to get to the top of the board first, which requires climbing ladders and avoiding snakes. I used to play this game in the afternoons while my mother rested or in the evenings after I finished my homework. On weekends, I played with family and friends, and during the week, I enjoyed playing with my parents and siblings. My dad, brother, and I would sometimes play together, which was a great way for us to connect as a family. Snakes and Ladders has always excited and encouraged me. What I liked best about the game was its randomness, which allowed you to be ahead one minute and fall behind the next. I was happy anytime I crossed the finish line first, and the thrill of defeating an opponent made it more enjoyable. I still remember those moments nicely. The game provided me with so much pleasure as a kid and created memories that I will never lose. Even now, when I can, I play it on my phone to recall those carefree days.

I still play the game when I have free time or when relatives come to visit, although pallankuzhi is no longer widely popular.

Who do you play with?

As a youngster, I played with my father's mother and my grandma. We used to play the game together whenever I visited our house, but now I play with my brothers and mother, and occasionally with my neighbors.

How do you feel about the game?

It's an interesting game, and since it's indoors, there will be no accidents. We can securely play with our family, friends, and neighbors. That game is easy for everyone to learn, and as we play, it becomes more thrilling.
