
The Central Board of Secondary Education Class 12 Board Examinations 2026 commenced from February 17, 2026. For the academic session 2025–26, CBSE has introduced key reforms aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), including the implementation of On-Screen Marking (OSM) for digital evaluation of answer books and updated assessment practice.

The exams are being conducted in a single shift from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Students must carry their admit card, reach the examination centre before 10 AM (no late entry permitted), and strictly follow all revised exam guidelines and instructions issued by CBSE.

CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2026 are scheduled from February 17 to April 10, 2026. All students must have a valid admit card to appear for the exams. The admit card contains important details such as exam dates, centre information, and candidate details.

CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 is expected to be released in the second week of May 2026 on the official website results.cbse.nic.in.
Students can check their results using their roll number, school number, and admit card ID. The result will include details such as the student’s name, marks obtained in each subject, grades, and overall status. It will be released for all streams, Science, Commerce, and Arts and will be provisional; students will need to collect their original mark sheets from their schools.
To pass, students must secure at least 33% overall, combining internal assessments and board exam marks. CBSE will also provide access to the results via DigiLocker, SMS, and the UMANG App for added convenience.
