How to Request a Remark of Your IELTS Test?: Many candidates often feel that their IELTS exam results do not reflect their original test performance. For this reason, receiving IELTS result can be shocking to many candidates. IDP IELTS offers IELTS re-evaluation options to its test-takers to deal with such situations. Now, you can request a remark on your IELTS test for one or more test sections. This process is called an Enquiry on Results (EOR).

What is an Enquiry on Results (EOR)? An EOR or Enquiry on Results allows candidates to remark their one or more test sections. Test-takers can choose to have any combination of the four components - Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking, or all sections together, to request a remark. Various senior IELTS examiners with extensive training are appointed to remark on your IELTS band scores. Candidates must know that the IELTS examiners are not informed about the original band score earlier to maintain fairness in the test.
Anyone who has taken the IELTS test and is not satisfied with their scores can apply for a remark. However, you must apply for a remark within six weeks of the date printed on your IELTS Test Report Form (TRF).
Follow these steps to initiate the remark process:
Contact Your Test Centre
You must reach out to the same IELTS Test Centre where you took the test. They will guide you on how to submit your request.
Choose the Test Sections
Decide whether you want all sections or specific ones (Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking) re-marked.
Submit the Application
For IELTS on Paper or IELTS CBT: Use the Test Taker Portal.
For IELTS UKVI (all formats) and Life Skills: Submit through the designated EOR link.

Once your request is submitted, your re-marked results will typically be available within 2 to 21 days. The exact duration depends on the number of sections requested for review. If you don’t receive a response after 28 days, you should contact the British Council via email at info@britishcouncil.org.pk or call 0800-22000.
There is a fee for requesting an EOR. The IELTS remark fee in India is INR 13,500. The exact amount can be found in the IELTS pricing document available for download on the official site.
However, if your score increases in any section after the review, your full fee will be refunded.
You can pay your EOR fee through the following methods:
Online Interbank Transfer (IBFT) via ATM or online banking
Bank Draft payable to British Council Pakistan
Cash Deposit at any SCB or MCB branch using the provided bank details
Virtual Account Deposit if you registered through the online portal
