IIT JAM

The IIT JAM (Joint Admission Test for Masters) is an entrance examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) for admission to various postgraduate programs in science, including M.Sc., Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., and M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree. It assesses candidate’s overall knowledge in disciplines such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biotechnology, Geology, and Mathematical Statistics. The exam aims to identify candidate’s overall knowledge, promotes quality education and research in the field of science across prestigious institutions in India.

Aim of Conducting the IIT JAM Exam

• The IIT JAM exam serves as the gateway for admission to various postgraduate programs at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). Successful candidates can pursue Master of Science (M.Sc.), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, and other related programs
• The exam is designed to assess the candidates' understanding of various science subjects at the undergraduate level. It helps in identifying candidates with a strong academic foundation and interest in pursuing higher education in science
• By selecting candidates for integrated Ph.D. and M.Sc.-Ph.D. programs, IIT JAM contributes to the promotion of research and development in various scientific disciplines. These programs encourage students to engage in advanced research and contribute to the scientific community

CUET PG Exam

The CUET Exam for postgraduate programs is a standardised exam designed to streamline the admission process across various universities and institutions. The examination will be held by the National Testing Agency for aspiring postgraduate students for admission to M.Sc or M. Tech programme. CUET PG examination is expected to be held in March 2024 based on which admission will be offered to postgraduate programs across participating universities.
