CBSE Class 12 History Sample Paper 2023-24: Exam Pattern

It is essential to comprehend the format of the Class 12 History Exam. The official 12th history question paper and the CBSE Class 12 History Sample Paper 2023–24 have the same format. The overall grade for the CBSE Class 12 History Sample Paper 2023-24 is 70.
  • Like the real exam paper, the history sample paper has a question based on a map. It takes candidates three hours to finish the question paper. Take a look at the general guidelines below.
  • There are five sections on the question paper: A, B, C, D, and E. The question paper consists of 34 questions. Every question is required.
  • MCQs in Section A, Numbers 1 through 21, are worth one mark each.
  • Questions 22 through 27 in Section B are of the Short Answer Type and are worth three marks each. Each question should have a response of no more than 60–80 words.
  • Section C: Long answer questions (numbers 28 through 30) are worth eight marks each. Each question should only have a 300–350word response.
  • Section D: Questions Nos. 31 through 33 are based on sources, each consisting of three smaller questions worth four marks.
  • Map-based Section-E Question No. 34 is worth five marks and asks you to locate and identify important test elements. Place the map and the answer book together.
  • The question paper does not have a single overall choice. Nonetheless, a few queries have given an internal option. In inquiries of this type, only one of the options must be tried.
