Bihar State Cooperative Bank Clerk Educational Qualification
A graduate or an individual with an equivalent qualification from any university in India recognized by the UGC.
Proficiency in computers is mandatory, along with a Basic Diploma in Computer Application (DCA).
Note: The eligibility examination passing date will be considered as the date mentioned on the mark sheet or provisional certificate, or the date when the result was officially published on the university or institution’s website.
Bihar State Cooperative Bank Clerk Age Limit
Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: 33 years (as of 01.06.2025)
Only candidates born between 02.06.1992 and 01.06.2007 (inclusive) are eligible to apply.
Age Relaxation Details:
SC/ST candidates: Allowed an age relaxation of 5 years.
MBC/WBC/BC candidates: Allowed an age relaxation of 3 years.
Persons with Disabilities: Eligible for an additional upper age relaxation of 10 years. For SC/ST persons with disabilities, the relaxation is 15 years, and for MBC/BC/WBC persons with disabilities, it is 13 years. Candidates must provide valid certificates from the authorized authority.
Ex-Servicemen: No age relaxation or fee concession is provided, as there is no reservation for them.
Reservation
A reservation will be given in terms of reservation rules/ regulations as per the Government of Bihar.
The benefit of reservation is given only to the permanent domiciles of Bihar. The Candidate who claims for BC/ MBC/WBC reservation benefit will have to submit the Caste Certificate issued by the Competent Authority of his/her home district in the prescribed Form of Govt. of Bihar issued not more than a year. The Candidates belonging to SC/ST are required to submit a caste certificate issued by the competent authority of his/her home district in the prescribed Form of Govt. of Bihar.
The Candidate who claims for reservation against relatives of a Freedom Fighter as per Govt. of Bihar Resolution, will have to submit the Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed format of Govt. of Bihar.
The Candidate who claims for reservation under PWD category will have to follow all terms and conditions set forth by Govt. of Bihar. Note: Only those persons with benchmark disabilities would be eligible for reservation. “Benchmark disability” means a person with not less than 40% of a specified disability, where specified disability has not been defined in measurable terms and includes persons with disability, where disability has been defined in measurable terms, as certified by the certifying authority. A person who wants to avail the benefit of reservation will have to submit a disability certificate issued by a Competent Authority. Such a certificate will be subject to verification/ re-verification as may be decided by the competent authority. No relaxation/ reservation will apply to the candidate having temporary disability. The allocation of reserved vacancies for persons with benchmark disabilities will be as prescribed by the Government of Bihar from time to time and as per actual vacancies.
If a Candidate does not produce a valid certificate of Caste/ relatives of Freedom Fighter/ Divyang persons (as applicable), in original at the time of document's verification, his/ her claim for such reservation benefit will be forfeited.
There is no reservation for Ex-service man-so there is no relaxation in age and/or fee for them for any purposes.
The number of vacancies, including reserved vacancies mentioned above, is provisional and may vary according to the actual requirement of the Bank.
Reservation for PWD is horizontal and within the overall vacancies for the post. i) EWS - Reservation for Economically Weaker section in recruitment is 10% according to the Letter.
Bihar State Cooperative Bank Clerk Nationality
A candidate must be either
(i) a Citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st Jan. 1962 to permanently settle in India, or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Govt. of India.
