In contrast, the provisional result for seat allotment in Phase I of TSICET 2023 was disclosed by TSCHE via the official counseling portal (tsicet.nic.in) on September 17, 2023. The window for tuition fee payment and self-reporting on the website began on September 17, 2023, and continued until September 20, 2023. Candidates who have successfully cleared the exam are required to engage in the TSICET Counselling process for the year 2023. This process facilitates their admission into MBA and MCA programs offered by institutions in Telangana. The TSICET Counselling 2023 unfolds through several distinct stages, as elaborated below:

Step 1: Counselling Registration

  • Initially, candidates should access the official TSICET 2023 website at icet.tsche.ac.in. On the website, they will find the " TSICET Counselling 2023 Fee Payment " section, which they should select.
  • To initiate the processing fee payment, candidates must furnish their TSICET 2023 Registration Number and TSICET 2023 Hall Ticket Number along with their Date of Birth.
  • After providing this information, candidates should click the 'Submit' button to access the basic information page.
  • Here, candidates will find their basic details displayed and should verify this information. Additionally, they are required to furnish their email address and mobile number. Furthermore, candidates eligible for reservation categories must submit their Caste Certificate and Income certificates as applicable.

Step 2 - Payment of Processing Fee

  • Once you have provided all the required details, the next step is to make the processing fee payment.
Please note that you must adhere to the specific dates communicated by TSCHE for processing fee payment to participate in the counseling process.
  • The processing fee amounts to Rs. 1,200 for candidates falling under the General Category, while for those belonging to the SC/ST category, it is Rs. 600.

  • This fee can be conveniently paid online, and you have the option to use either a credit card, a debit card, or Internet banking for the transaction.
Upon successful payment, an online receipt will be generated, serving as confirmation of your payment.

Step 3 - Slot Booking

  • Once the counseling fee payment has been successfully completed, candidates are required to reserve a time slot for certificate verification.
  • Candidates will need to personally visit the designated helpline center at their chosen time slot for the certificate verification process. They have the flexibility to select both the venue and time for this verification procedure

Step 4 - Certificate Verification

Candidates must carry out the certificate verification process at the helpline center according to the slot they have reserved.

Step 5- Exercising Web Options

Following the certificate verification process, candidates will be sent a Login ID on their registered mobile number. To create a password, candidates should click on the "Candidate Registration" option.
  • To generate the password, candidates will need to input the Login ID. Additionally, an OTP will be sent to their mobile, which must be entered to finalize the Candidate Registration.
  • Candidates have the flexibility to select multiple options to enhance their chances of admission. It's crucial to save these choices and retain a printed copy for reference.
Within the specified dates, candidates are allowed to make changes to their selected choices if needed.

TSICET Counseling 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Here are the eligibility criteria established by the Telangana State Council for Higher Education for participation in TSICET Counselling 2023:
  1. Educational Qualifications :
    • General category applicants must have scored a minimum of 50% in the overall aggregate in the TSICET 2023 admission test .
    • SC/ST category applicants should have achieved a minimum of 45% in the overall aggregate in the TSICET 2023 admission test .
  2. Minority Applicants :
    • Minority applicants (Muslim/Christian) are eligible for participating in collaborating academic institutions or open seats in minority universities if they do not meet the TSICET 2023 passing criteria of 50% (for OC applicants) and 45% (for other category applicants).
  3. Nationality : Applicants must be Indian nationals.
  4. Residency : Candidates should be residents of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana.
  5. Age Limit : The applicant's age should not exceed 30 years (for OC aspirants) and 34 years (for other applicants) as of July 1, 2023.
  6. Educational Background : Aspirants must hold a bachelor's degree from a college with a minimum of 3 years of study in any field of study.

TSCHE does not impose any restrictions on the number of options candidates can select. Therefore, to enhance their chances of securing a seat, candidates are encouraged to choose as many options as they desire. While entering their preferences, candidates will have access to a list of participating TSICET institutes and available courses. After finalizing their selections, candidates should print out the saved options for their records.

Option Entry Eligibility in Final Phase of TSICET Counselling

Not all TSICET candidates will automatically qualify for option entry in the concluding stage of TSICET counseling . Candidates are eligible to exercise their choices in the TSICET Counselling 2023 registration Phase 2 , if they satisfy the following conditions:
  • Candidates who have been allocated a seat in the initial counseling phase but are not interested in joining the assigned college or university.
  • Candidates who have had their certificates verified even if they didn't secure a seat.
  • Candidates who completed the certificate verification process but did not participate in the option entry.
  • Candidates who have secured a seat, confirmed it, but are awaiting the possibility of a better choice.

TSICET Counseling 2023: Process for Participating in the Subsequent Rounds

  • If an applicant couldn't participate in the previous Telangana ICET counseling round for any specific reason, they can still get involved by attending the certificate verification round.
  • Candidates are eligible to participate in the second round of counseling if they were not assigned a seat during the initial TSICET counseling session in 2023.
  • If an applicant is offered a seat but chooses not to accept it, their acceptance will be considered void, and the seat will be considered vacant.
  • However, applicants cannot request a seat allocation from previous rounds of counseling.
  • If an applicant accepts an offer, they must pay the required fee and be present for subsequent rounds of counseling.

TSICET Counseling 2023: Process of Cancellation

An applicant has the option to cancel or withdraw from their reserved seat during a specific timeframe, which will be provided by the authorities. Those who wish to cancel their assigned seat must either personally meet with the committee chair or send the necessary documents via certified mail. The required documents for requesting the withdrawal of a reserved seat include:
  • A withdrawal request form.
  • The certificate received during document authentication from the designated help institutes.
  • A payment receipt for fees.
  • The latest provisional allocation letter.

TSICET Counselling 2023: Spot Admissions

Remaining vacancies in Private Unaided MBA and MCA institutions will be filled through Institutional Spot Admissions, which will take place at the respective colleges. Those interested in applying for admission should reach out to the Principals of the relevant institutions.
  • Candidates can find information about universities and available vacancies on the official TSICET website , tsicet.nic.in.
It's important to note that spot admissions are not available for candidates who do not have their original certificates. Applicants must bring all their original certificates for on-site admission verification. After thorough verification, original certificates will be returned to the candidate. Additionally, candidates need to submit a set of photocopies of their certificates along with their original Transfer Certificate (TC) to the college.
  • For applicants admitted through Institutional Spot Admissions, fee reimbursement is not applicable.

Spot Admission Eligibility Criteria:

  • Original certificates are mandatory for spot admission.
  • TSICET 2023 qualified candidates with 50% (49.5% or higher) aggregate marks for non-SC/ST/BCs and 45% (44.5% or higher) for BC/SC/STs are eligible for spot admission.
  • Applicants without a TSICET rank but with a degree and a percentage of 49.5% or higher (OC candidates) or 44.5% or higher (BC, SC, ST candidates) may be considered for remaining vacancies.
  • Degrees from non-Telangana universities require an equivalency certificate for admission.
  • Vacancies will be filled within the respective category.
  • Candidates from other states educated in Telangana are ineligible for admission.
  • Admissions during institutional spot admissions are subject to approval by the TSICET 2023 Admissions Convenor; non-approved admissions must leave immediately.
