Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) 2025 is a state-level exam for aspiring teachers in Jharkhand. It consists of two papers: Paper 1 for primary teachers (classes 1–5) and Paper 2 for upper primary teachers (classes 6–8). Each paper has 150 multiple-choice questions to be solved in 2.5 hours.

The council has announced that the exam will be conducted afresh under new rules and a revised syllabus, which are currently being finalized in consultation with the School Education and Literacy Department.
Candidates who have already paid the application fee will not need to pay again for the new cycle. Once the revised guidelines receive cabinet approval, a new notification will be issued, and the application portal will reopen, giving candidates another opportunity to apply. This move aims to ensure greater transparency and fairness in the teacher recruitment process in Jharkhand.
Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) will revise the JTET Syllabus and rules, as per government instructions, following the cancellation of the previous exam cycle. A new notification and application process will be released once the updated guidelines and syllabus are finalized and approved by the education department.
