Formula For Relative Lowering of Vapour Pressure

Relative Lowering of Vapour Pressure :
When a non-volatile solute (B) is dissolved in a liquid, the vapour pressure (P Total ) of the solution becomes lower than the vapour pressure of pure solvent.
From Raoult’s Law : Vapour pressure of the solution is given by :
P Total = P A (P A = partial vapour pressure of the solvent in solution) [P B = 0]
