Workshop on CUET (UG) 2025 for NSUD Admission: The Naga Students’ Union, Delhi (NSUD), in collaboration with the Lotha Students’ Union, Delhi, organized a workshop on CUET UG 2025. The event took place on March 8 at the Nagaland State Guest House, R.K. Puram, New Delhi. The primary objective of the workshop was to equip the members of the NSUD Admission Help Desk (2024-2025) and representatives from other non-affiliated tribes with comprehensive knowledge about the CUET (UG) 2025 examination process.
The primary objective of the workshop was to train members of the NSUD Admission Help Desk (2024-2025) and representatives from various Naga tribes to provide accurate, timely, and effective assistance to students appearing for CUET (UG) 2025. As announced in a circular issued on March 3, 2025, the session targeted students who have cleared or are appearing for their Higher Secondary Examinations and wish to apply to central and state universities in Delhi for the 2025-2026 academic session.
CUET (UG) is a dynamic and relatively new examination system conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Since its introduction, it has been subjected to frequent updates and changes. Therefore, the workshop aimed to ensure that NSUD representatives and help desk members are well-informed and capable of guiding Naga students, especially those from Nagaland, about the CUET UG 2025 exam pattern, eligibility criteria, and admission process.
The workshop was conducted by Leimiwon Zimik, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geology, University of Delhi. Since 2022, Zimik has been providing voluntary assistance to Naga students facing challenges related to CUET. During the workshop, Zimik highlighted several important aspects of CUET (UG) 2025, emphasizing that the exam system is still evolving. Therefore, participants were encouraged to frequently visit the official website of NTA for updates and guidelines. He also stressed the importance of understanding Program Specific Eligibility for different courses offered by universities.
Understanding CUET (UG) 2025: CUET is a centralized entrance test conducted by NTA for admissions to undergraduate programs in central and state universities.
It aims to provide a single-window opportunity for students seeking admission to various universities in India.
Importance of Staying Updated: As CUET is relatively new, guidelines and requirements may change frequently.
Students and help desk members were advised to regularly check the official NTA website for the latest updates.
Program Specific Eligibility : Candidates must carefully choose their test subjects according to the eligibility criteria of their desired universities.
They were advised to visit the official websites of their preferred universities to understand the subjects/tests required for admission to specific programs.
Application Process Guidance: Students must thoroughly review eligibility criteria before filling out their CUET UG 2025 application forms.
Assistance is available from the NSUD Admission Help Desk and tribe representatives.
Effective Communication: Members of the NSUD Admission Help Desk were trained to provide clear and accurate guidance to students, especially those back home in Nagaland.
To ensure all students receive adequate help during the admission process, the NSUD Admission Help Desk and tribe representatives have made themselves available for guidance. Below is a comprehensive list of the contact persons:
