The full form for AILET in the Examination field is an All India Law Entrance Test.
The National level exam All India Law Entrance Test is conducted by the National Law University, Delhi. The AILET allows for admission in BBA LLB, LLM and PhD programs.
All India Law Entrance Test is an entrance exam for admission to the Law College of Delhi, organised by the National Law University. The AILET is only for National Law Universities, and the NLU does not accept any other Law Entrance exams like CLAT etc. NLU Delhi comes under the top three law colleges in India. AILET conducts only once a year. The exam is done in pen-paper mode within 1.5 hours for 150 questions and a negative marking also 0.25. The AILET is a challenging exam with limited seats in every course of NLU. Across India, every year, approximately 20,500 candidates applied for AILET in 2022. The General category has only 50 seats. The cut-off varies for every category, and the highest cut-off is for General category candidates.
All India Law Entrance Test will be conducted in 40 cities offline. The type of questions is multiple choice, and approx 150 questions come in the exam. The question paper is divided into three sections: English, Logical Reasoning and General Knowledge. For AILET LLM, three sections are General Knowledge, Reasoning and English and LLM Jurisprudence.
