Full Form of ISAT, What Does ISAT Mean

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology Admission Test is known as ISAT. IIST, the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, administers the yearly test. The ISAT test is primarily given to candidates who want to enrol in the B.Tech program.

One of the primary considerations for ISAT admissions is said to be the All India Ranking. Candidates should attend ISAT 2023 if they intend to enrol in IIST. It has three main divisions: Bachelor of Technology in Physical Sciences, Avionics, and Aerospace Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria

The following are the eligibility criteria one needs to meet before being an ISAT hopeful, check for the following eligibility criteria to be sure of sitting the ISAT examination.

1. The nationality of the candidate must be Indian.
2. The upper age limit for the aspirants is 26 years. However, the age relation for the SC/ST/PD is 4 years.
3. Appearance of the candidate in JEE mains and JEE advanced is mandatory before applying for ISAT Exam.
4. The combined percentage of class 10+2 in the subjects physics, maths, and chemistry must be as follows:
5. 70% in the general category
6. 60% in the reserved category
7. The marks for JEE advanced required for appearing for the ISAT exam are
8. For the general category, 20% overall marks and 5% in each subject.
9. For OBC, 18% marks are required and 4.5% individually in every subject.
10. For SC/ST/PWD, 10% overall marks are required and 2.5% in each subject.

Exam Pattern

In the ISAT exam, there are 120 questions in total. The number of questions for each subject is divided equally, i.e. 40 questions for each physics, chemistry, and mathematics.

The exam is held in an offline, pen-and-paper mode for three hours. There are centres allotted in your state, preferably, which the candidate needs to go and attend.

Each question carries 3 marks, negative marks are allotted for every attempted wrong answer. For unattempted questions, there are no marks allotted. For every wrong answer, one mark is deducted. The negative marking scheme demands the candidates be extra cautious while marking the answers.

ISAT exam is in an MCQ mode where candidates are provided with OMR sheets to mark the answers in the correct bubble.
