MPPSC FSO Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme

The first stage is the written test, which is OMR-based. It means the exam is held offline using a question paper and answer sheet. The paper is made up of two parts – Part A and Part B.

  • Part A contains General Studies questions. It has 50 questions, each carrying 3 marks.

  • Part B contains questions related to Food Science and Technology. It has 100 questions, each carrying 3 marks.

The total marks for the written exam are 450, and the duration of the exam is 3 hours. The most important thing to remember is that there is negative marking. For each wrong answer, 1 mark is deducted. This means candidates should only attempt questions they are sure about.
