There are two stages in NMTC Examination -
NMTC Preliminary Test: All candidates, except seniors, start here. It takes place in participating schools, lasts 2 hours, and contains detailed questions (multiple choice and fill-in). This test assesses problem solving skills using easy (20%) and challenging (80%) questions. 10% of top performers pass the final exam.
NMTC Final Test: For first-time passers, this 3-hour psychological test covers the most advanced topics. This is done in relevant premises, focusing on a deeper understanding of mathematics.
NMTC 2025 : The Association of Mathematics Teachers of India (AMTI) annually conducts the NMTC (National Mathematics Talent Contest) attracting young mathematics enthusiasts since 1968. This National Mathematics Talent Contest is a prestigious competition seeks students who are capable of creative thinking, eager to solve unfamiliar problems, and strong math skills for their age.
NMCT 2025 is organized to recognize and foster students who possess the aptitude for innovative and imaginative thinking, the desire to tackle new and unconventional challenges, and a broad mathematical skill set.
Eligibility of candidates depends on the level of NMTC Exam students are going to appear for. The NTMC Registration 2025 Last Date is 1st July 2025 and the NMTC 2025 stage 1 date is 23rd August 2025 (Saturday) 10 am to 12 pm.

Follow the below given steps to apply for the NMTC (National Mathematics Talent Contest) 2025
The AMTI is a pioneering group in India that promotes and organizes Mathematics Talent Tests as part of its efforts to popularize mathematics education. A total of 56,595 students from across India took part in the screening phase of the 56th National Level Tests last year. Approximately 10% of them were chosen for the final round. The students chosen in the finals are awarded merit certificates and prizes.
For the 57th NMTC 2025, officials have started the online application process and soon going to conduct the NMTC 2025 Stage 1 Exam on 23rd August 2025.
