ICAR full form is Indian Council of Agricultural Research. It is an autonomous organisation that was established in 1929 by the Ministry of Agriculture. The organisation is headquartered in New Delhi and was established under the Societies Registration Act, of 1860.
The organisation has 101 ICAR institutes and 71 Agricultural Universities making it one of the pioneer entities in the world. A lot of central, state, and private colleges are accredited by ICAR to offer Agricultural and Farming courses. These courses are offered at both UG and PG levels.
