MDR Full Form: The MDR Full Form is Multiple Drug-Resistant. Some bacteria are multiple-drug-resistant, meaning they are resistant to various antibiotics. The spread of antibiotic resistance is facilitated by multidrug-resistant bacteria, which can be challenging to treat.
Multiple drug-resistant organisms are resistant to three or more kinds of medicines. Antimicrobial categories are medications with similar effects or target groups of organisms. Multiple drug-resistant strains pose a major risk to the public's health. In this context, two other phrases are frequently employed. They are XDR (extensive drug resistance) and PDR (pan drug resistance). Extensive drug resistance refers to the microorganisms' inability to respond to all drug classes save one or two. Pan drug resistance refers to microorganisms' failure to respond to all drug classes and medicines. Multi-drug resistant tuberculosis is one of the most common infections in the MDR group.Check NEET Exam Important Links
