About CLAT Exam

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national level entrance exam for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes offered by 22 National Law Universities around the country. Refer NCERT textbooks for CLAT solve the questions with the help of NCERT solutions. 

Who is organising clat

CLAT is organized by the Consortium of National Law Universities consisting of the representative universities.

Registrations for the examination closed on 31st March 2021. The exam will be conducted on 13th June 2021.

Objective of CLAT

The main objectives for CLAT are.

1.To provide the highest standards of legal education to make Indian legal education comparable with the most reputed international institutions of legal education.

2.To consider, initiate and promote reforms in legal education and disseminate learning and knowledge of law and legal processes and their role in national development.

3.To provide better co-ordination amongst the NLUs and other legal institutions to achieve highest standard of legal education in the country.

4.To provide advice to the universities, educational institutions and academicians on teaching and promote innovative curriculum, teaching methods and teaching materials in the field of law and allied disciplines.

Basic information about CLAT

1.The CLAT 2021 examination will be held in OFFLINE mode

2.The applications have to be submitted ONLINE only from consortiumofnlus.ac.in website.

3.The date of examination as scheduled is 13th June 2021 from 2 PM to 4 PM (Subject to revision in case of necessity)

4.For any information relating to the 22 NLUs, the candidate may refer to the e-brochure of the respective Institutions available in the Consortium website.
