The counselling will be conducted by the examination conducting body of the Indian Statistical Insitute as per on the schedule which will be released by the authorities. Candidates who will be selected on the basis of the written test, as well as the Interview, will be required to appear for the counselling procedure for the final seat allotment to the applied course. It must be noted that the final seat allotment will only be on the basis of the Counselling and it will be important for the candidate to appear at the allotted institute.
The counselling schedule along with other instructions will be released and the candidates will be required to go through it carefully. Once the official notification will be released, selected candidates must go through the details thoroughly and must make sure that they bring all the required documents on the day of the counselling. The list of the documents will be provided and the candidate must also get the self-attested photocopies of every document on the day of the counselling. The payment of the Admission fee will also be on the same day as of the seat allotment. Candidates not following with the important instructions will not be eligible for the admission to the applied course.
Candidates, who have qualified the ISI Admission Test 2019 or possess a valid GATE scores as per the pre-determined cutoff marks of ISI Kolkata, will have to attend the Counselling of ISI Admission Test in person.
NOTE: GATE scores are considered only for MTech in Computer Science programme.
ISI Kolkata does not accept GATE scores for MTech QROR course programme. It is mandatory that MTech candidates applying for the Quality, Reliability and Operations Research programme to appear for the ISI Admission Test 2019 and qualify in it with a valid score. The ISI Admission Test Counselling 2019 will be conducted on the basis of the candidate’s scores in the ISI Admission Test 2019 or valid GATE 2019 scores (for MTech CS) as per the norms prescribed of ISI Kolkata.

ISI Admission Test Counselling 2019 Procedure is as follows:
- Candidates, who have qualified have to appear for the personal interview round as per the date and time notified in the ISI Admission Test Result 2019 announcement.
- The shortlisted candidates will have to report at least 30 minutes to the scheduled time for the ISI Admission Test Counselling 2019.
- The candidates must first report to the Medical Welfare Unit located in the ISI Hostel campus on any day during the specified dates for obtaining their medical fitness certificate.
- The candidates must carry their recent clinical test reports of their Blood Sugar (P.P.) and Urine (routine examination). These tests should be recently conducted at any reputed and standard clinical laboratory.
- The ISI Kolkata Medical Officer will examine the candidates and their reports in order to issue a Medical Fitness Certificate.
- After successfully obtaining the Medical Fitness Certificate, the candidates must report to the Dean’s office along with their guardian.
- The candidates must also carry their marks sheets, original certificates along with self-attested copies and 3 passport size recent color photographs to the reporting centre for the ISI Admission Test Counselling 2019.
- SC/ST/OBC/PC category candidates will also have to produce their supporting documents in order to be able claim the reservation.
- Candidates shortlisted after the personal interview round are will then have to pay the requisite fees and confirm their admission.
