CHANGES ON JEE Mains 2022-
Mode of Test: NTA JEE Main 2022 will be a computer-based test for Paper 1; however, for Paper 2, Mathematics and Aptitude will be in computer-based mode and Drawing will be in pen and paper mode.
More than one attempt: NTA JEE Main 2022 will be held two times a year, starting from April 2022 and go on until 29 May 2022.
Age limit: The criteria of age limit has been removed from NTA JEE Main 2022. Candidates who have passed their 10+2 in 2019, 2020 or are appearing in 2021 can apply for the exam, irrespective of their age.
Application fees revised: NTA JEE Main 2022 application fees has been reduced for different categories.
Common Service Centres (CSCs): The authorities have set up 1.5 lakh CSCs across the country to help candidates in both urban and rural areas in application form filling and submission.
Early Mock Tests: NTA has started student registration for JEE Main mock tests which are done on weekly basis. Candidates can practice with these tests to get a better understanding of the exam pattern, how to prepare and what to expect in the actual exam.
Test Practice centres (TPCs): NTA has opened JEE Main practice centres at 2,697 colleges and schools with computers to allow candidates to practice the JEE Main mock tests. These centres will be open on every Saturday and Sunday to allow candidates to work on the days off without interfering with their regular school schedule. Candidates will have to use the NTA App developed for this purpose to detect their nearest TPC.
Unique Question Paper for each candidate: A huge databank of questions is being prepared for NTA JEE Main with the help of subject experts, educationists, psychometric test experts etc to ensure that questions will be unique. The system is being developed such that questions will be randomly picked up by each student thus ensuring that no two students will get the same set of questions. The questions paper will also progress from an easy level to a difficulty level based on the answers given by the students. All this will be achieved with the help of advanced software and AI methodology.
Two Scores: From this year onwards, in the NTA JEE Main 2022 candidates will have two attempt only. The first attempt will be in April 2022 and the second attempt will be in May 2022. There will not be best of two scores like previous year.
Mode of Examination
JEE (Main)-2022 will be conducted in the following modes:
- B.E. /B. Tech.in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only.
- B. Arch:Mathematics-Part I and Aptitude Test-Part II in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only and Drawing Test –Part III in “Pen & Paper Based” (offline) mode to be attempted on drawing sheetof A4 size.
- B.Planning :Mathematics-Part I , Aptitude Test-Part II and Planning Based Questions Part III in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only
