The project tiger was launched on 1^st April, 1973 by our government to protect the tigers of our country. About none tiger reserve were identified such as Manas (Assam), Corbett(UP), Kanha (MP), Bandipur (Karnataka), Ranthambore (Rajasthan), Sundrbans (West Bengal).Tigers were protected in these areas with a philosophy of ‘Do nothing to interfere with nature’.
