- A red data book is the source book which keeps the record of all the endangered plants and animals.

Main aim of IUCN red list:
- Developing awareness about the importance of threatened bio-diversity.
- Identification and documentation of endangered species.
- Providing a global index of the decline of bio-diversity.
- Defining conservation priorities at a local level and guiding conservation action.
- Birds migrate to far away areas every year during a particular time because of climatic changes. They fly for laying eggs as the weather is their natural habitat becomes very cold and inhospitable. Therefore, birds migrate in search of food, water and favourable conditions.
- Trees are important to maintain the balance of nature. Therefore in order to save trees and to prevent the impact of their loss, we need to save paper and use it intelligently.

- Due to the rapid decline in population of tigers across the world, the governments have started certain conservation programmers that aimed at saving tigers. The project tiger was launched on 1st April, 1973 by our government to protect the tigers of our country. About none tiger reserve were identified such as Manas (Assam), Corbett(UP), Kanha (MP), Bandipur (Karnataka), Ranthambore (Rajasthan), Sundrbans (West Bengal).Tigers were protected in these areas with a philosophy of ‘Do nothing to interfere with nature’.
