Polygon
A simple closed figure formed by three or more line segments is called a polygon.
Sides:
The lines segments forming a polygon are called its sides.
Vertices
The meeting point of a pair of sides of a polygon is called its vertex.
In the given figure, ABC is polygons in which AB, BC and AC are sides and A, B, C are its vertices.
Type of polygons
Convex polygon
If each angle of a polygon is less than 2 right angles (i.e., < 180°) then such polygons are called convex polygons.
