Lines and Angles of Class 7
In this chapter we will learn about basic of lines, rays, line segment, angles. Day to day life we see many example of these form like :Railway track, Road, Bridge, scissors and many other things.
DEFINITION OF SOME BASIC TERMS
we will start with Rays
Now the part of the line which has only one end point at A and contains the point C is called ray AC as shown in fig. (iii). The ray AB and the ray AC have only one common point A and are parts of the same line.
The two rays are called opposite rays. The symbol AB is also used for depicting the ray AB. thus, in the fig. (i), the rays AB and AC are opposite to each other.
