UPSC CSE interview 2023 for 918 applicants Starts today

UPSC CSE 2022 -The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will commence the interviews for 918 candidates who have qualified for the Civil Services Examination Main (CSE Mains). The UPSC CSE interview 2022 is scheduled to be conducted from March 13 to April 21, as per the official website upsc.gov.in.
The UPSC interview schedule for 2022 includes important details such as the roll number, date, and session of the interview. It is important to note that the reporting time for the forenoon session is 9 AM, while the afternoon session requires candidates to report at 1 PM.
The UPSC has recently made an announcement regarding the interview schedule for the remaining candidates of the Civil Services 2022 recruitment process. The Commission has announced that they will upload the schedule by the first week of April 2023.
This information is of utmost importance for the candidates as they need to keep track of the schedule and reporting times in order to prepare themselves adequately for the interview round, which marks the final phase of the recruitment process.
Reimbursement
The Union Public Service Commission is currently holding interviews at its office located on Shahjahan Road in New Delhi. According to the official notification, candidates who attend the interviews will be reimbursed for their travel expenses. However, it should be noted that the Commission will only cover the cost of second or sleeper-class train fare for Mail Express trains. The Commission has clearly stated this policy.
The commission stated that it would reimburse candidates for their traveling expenses when they appear for the interview. The commission will limit the reimbursement to the second/sleeper class train fare (Mail Express). However, it is important to note that the company has put this restriction in place.
UPSC has announced that it will not entertain any requests for rescheduling the Personality Test (Interview) that candidates have not informed. Therefore, candidates must attend the interview as per the scheduled date and time, and UPSC will not make any exceptions. This policy emphasizes that UPSC expects candidates to adhere to the scheduled interview timings without any alterations.
On December 6, 2022, the UPSC Mains result for 2022 was declared, revealing that 2,529 candidates had qualified for the personality test. Then, from January 30, 2023, to March 10, 2023, the first phase of the personality test took place, with 1,026 candidates actively participating and showcasing their skills and knowledge.
Last year, Shruti Sharma achieved the topmost position in the UPSC CSE 2021 final result, securing All India Rank 1. Notably, the top three positions were secured by female candidates. Ankita Agarwal secured AIR 2, while Gamini Singla from Chandigarh attained rank 3.
UPSC Exam Pattern
- The Union Public Service Commission conducts the highly coveted Civil Services/IAS examination annually, consisting of three stages:
- UPSC Exam Preliminary Stage
- UPSC Exam Mains Stage
- UPSC Exam Interview Stage.
- Candidates are required to appear for a preliminary examination that tests their general knowledge and aptitude skills in order to advance to the UPSC Exam Mains Stage. Upon successfully clearing the preliminary stage, they will move on to the next stage.
- UPSC Exam Mains Stage is the second stage of the examination, and it comprises a comprehensive written examination consisting of nine papers. These papers include an essay, two language papers, and two optional subject papers. Once candidates clear the Mains Stage successfully, they move on to the final stage.
- In the UPSC Exam Interview Stage, candidates are interviewed by a panel of experts to assess their overall personality, aptitude, and suitability for the position. The selection panel chooses candidates for the coveted position of Civil Services/IAS officers after they successfully complete all three stages.
