UPSC Rejects 80 Candidates' Applications due to Non-Payment of Fee for CSE Prelims 2023

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has recently announced that it rejected the applications of over 80 candidates who applied for the UPSC Civil Service (Preliminary) Exam 2023 due to non-payment of fees. The UPSC 2023 application process was closed on February 21.

UPSC has rejected the applications of 80 candidates for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2023 due to non-payment of fees. The Commission's Office has given the candidates 10 days to appeal against the rejection by submitting the necessary documentary evidence. If the candidates fail to provide valid evidence by the prescribed date, the Commission will not consider the application for revival.

In its official notice, the commission stated that it rejected the applications of these candidates as it had yet to receive any confirmation from the bank regarding the payment of INR 100 by each candidate. The commission has now released an important notice regarding rejecting applications for the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2023.

The commission has instructed rejected candidates to appeal within ten days, until March 17, 2023, and submit the required documents in hard copy. Rejected candidates must provide documentary evidence such as the system-generated challan in case of cash mode payment in SBI or a copy of the debit/credit card statement or bank account statement if the fee has been paid through debit/credit card or internet banking of authorised banks.

If candidates do not send valid documentary evidence by the prescribed date, the commission will not consider their application for revival and will not provide any further communication after March 17.
