UPSC EPFO Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for UPSC EPFO (Employees' Provident Fund Organisation) examination are as follows:

Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit: The upper age limit for Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer is 30 years and for Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner  is 35 years.  There is age relaxation provided for certain categories as per government rules. 

Educational Qualification: The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or institute. Candidates who have a degree in Law/Chartered Accountancy/Company Secretaryship from a recognized University/Institution are also eligible.

Work Experience: Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in the field of Accounts/Audit/Administration/Legal Matters/Personnel Management in a Government or Private sector organization.

Physical Fitness: The candidate must be physically fit as per the guidelines provided by the UPSC.

The salary for the post of Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer in the Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) under the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is based on the 7th Pay Commission.

As of September 2021, the starting salary for an Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer in the EPFO is at the Level-8 pay scale, which is Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 1,51,100.
