Law of chemical combination:

i) Law of conservation of mass:

It states that matter can neither be created nor destroyed during a chemical change.

ii) Law of definite proportions:

It states that are given chemical substance (compound) always contains the same elements combined in a fixed proportion by weight.

iii) Law of multiple proportions:

It states that if two elements chemically combine to give two or more compounds, then the weights of one element which combine with the fixed weight of the other element in those compounds bear a simple multiple ratio to one another.

iv) Gay-Lussac’s law of combining volumes:

It states that when gases under similar conditions of temperature and pressure chemically combine they bear a simple ratio in their volumes. If the product is alwo a gas, the ratio of the volumes can be extended to its volume also.
